CAPITAL PARTNERS
What is Cereus?
Cereus Capital Partners is a private equity fund investing in the production, processing, packaging, and distribution of innovative and healthy foods, leveraging state-of-the-art, and sustainable practices. We are investing along the food value chain, from “land-to-fork”, with a focus on processed foodstuffs.
Cereus is investing in middle-market companies based, primarily, in the Southern Cone of Latin America – Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and the North of Argentina and also in other countries within the region (Peru, Colombia, Central America) when attractive targets are found within the food value chain (example: fish farming, fruits, and vegetables).
We are interested in food production including healthy living products, but also superfoods and nutraceuticals. We seek to obtain full or majority control, or join forces with a successful management team, bringing resources needed to execute a sound and proven business plan.
Our targets are businesses with real assets and with existing or potential demand for export revenue to the United States and the rest of the world to provide hedging against quantitative easing inflation and currency fluctuations as well as to boost growth and profitability. Our targets need to demonstrate a strong sustainable competitive advantage and significant growth potential. Additional acquisitions and roll-ups may be considered to reinforce the global reach of a portfolio company, especially in the United States potential.
